White Horse Holme Pub & Bakery Listed in The Good Food Guide 2025

White Horse Pub at Holme-next-the-Sea has been open for just a year and White Horse Bakery, across the courtyard, has barely been open three months, but they have both been inspected by The Good Food Guide and awarded entry into the Good Food Guide 2025 - White Horse Bakery as a Local Gem! This is outstanding recognition, and the White Horse team are delighted.
Reflecting on getting recognition from The Good Food Guide after being open just a year, Gabe Lea, Head Chef said, ‘my team and I are over the moon, one of our many delights is showcasing and serving the region's best ingredients, and there’s plenty! It’s fabulous working with farmers, fishermen and Norfolk suppliers, we all have the same aim. I feel very honoured to be part of this amazing adventure.’
Said Will Pryke, General Manager, ‘To the team, this isn't just another pub in Norfolk; it's a testament to the community, its people, and its produce. The Good Food Guide 2025 recognition has proved that our menu shines through and diners taste the difference. Our aim with our menu is to support and work with British farmers and local fishermen. Their produce is simply the best.’
It’s Summertime and our big and beautiful garden is beckoning, and we are open for food inside or out on Monday to Saturday 12noon to 9pm and 12noon to 5pm on Sundays.
White Horse Bakery bake every day, delicious breads and exceptional viennoiserie, and are open from 8am to 4pm. As Toby Doy, Head Baker says, ‘Our baking philosophy hinges on the provenance of our ingredients, their locality and sustainability, but also a commitment to process, ‘doing it the right way’, the healthy way, the way it used to be done. Eat in the Bakery barn or absorb the views from our beautiful garden from the parasol covered raised deck, the choice is yours. We do not take reservations for Bakery tables, so get here early to guarantee a spot. Takeaway available for a beach picnic!’
