Norfolk’s Original Mussel Festival Grows Into a Five-Day Celebration
At The White Horse, Brancaster Staithe, we are celebrating with Brancaster Mussels back on the menu!
All our menus are full of the joys of the best local Autumn produce. Said Rob Williamson, General Manager, ‘It was in 2018 that we hosted our ‘First Brancaster Staithe Mussel Festival’ Norfolk’s Original Mussel Festival, since then the event has grown into a 5-day Marshside extravaganza.
It’s a very special Festival for us all at The White Horse as the Mussels are grown and harvested in Brancaster Bay, at the bottom of our garden, and delivered to Fran’s kitchen fairly pronto by Thomas Large, Brancaster Bay Mussels as he lives just up the road!’

Fran will be serving these delicious nutritious and full of protein mussels, mariniere and 4 other flavours, so yummy you won’t know which to choose.
There will be a full line up of live music including Matty Haynes acoustic, Nelson’s Shantymen, Bill Downs singer - Celebrate, sing and dance with us.
MARSHSIDE Marquee will be cosy and warm and there’s no need to book - we’ve given you a choice of 5 days, you choose.
